‘March 1967’
Just a quick sketch I did in a revision break, trying to draw the image that pops into my head when I’m listening to ‘Walt Grace’s Submarine Test January 1967’, just as Walt arrives in Tokyo. Thought I’d share to anyone else sitting down with the album :)

I….I…….
I have no words.
Shame on you if you don’t listen to this song.

Up early this morning, got into town as HMV opened to buy Born and Raised. Also bought Serenity too seeing as I’ve finished Firefly. It’ll be a fun week…

Age Of Worry - John Mayer
Just playing around with the main riff of one of the songs of Born and Raised before I buy it tomorrow!

Well, it’s fair to say that last week was one of the toughest I’ve been through. Both to see the strain on those close to me and feel it on myself, it was all emotionally and physically draining. However, never mind all that.
Off we went, myself and my amazing girlfriend, down to London for a belated birthday weekend away. Away from all the above, a chance to recharge our batteries, relax.
Walking round London, shopping, dodging traffic… yeah there was no chance of a rest.
To cut a long story short, we had an amazing weekend, ate some brilliant cakes, saw a brilliant show and spent far too much money in far too many places.
I suppose the point of all this it’s made me think that every time things have seemed rubbish, hopeless and impossible to sort, everything comes together in a decent conclusion. No matter how much bad stuff piles up, you’ve still got the good to get you through. The bad stuff may take over but it makes the good stuff no less important. It’s what you rely on, or what I rely on anyway. No matter how crap the beginning feels, you can always rely on there being a happy ending. That’s what I got, a happy ending to it all.
Still knackered now, so I’ll give up on this now. I think some sense may be in here somewhere.
Bloody good weekend, thanks Mum and Dodge and thanks Alice; and thanks everyone who helped us get through the week.
